With fabulous coastal scenery, an abundant choice of sandy beaches, fantastic seafood and high quality facilities, Albufeira can get rather busy in the height of the summer season. It also has a vibrant nightlife that will suit some visitors however, we think our guests prefer to stay in quieter surroundings where they can truly relax yet dip into the attractions and distractions when they wish. This is why we've selected our villas in the town of Guia and nearby Vale da Parra to the west of Albufeira, within easy reach of everything but well away from the hustle and bustle. The small town of Guia is a lovely place to stay, good quality villas in relaxed surroundings and the centre also has a great selection of local restaurants within walking distance. Ramirez is one of our favourites and it is said that the famous Portuguese dish of chicken piri piri was created here. Just to the south and a little closer to the coast is Vale da Parra, a small community with a good choice of relaxed restaurants and local bars that welcome families; there's also grocery shopping and facilities all within convenient reach of the villas. The area has a great selection of beaches which are just a short drive away from our villas. Gale beach is the closest and has two restaurants that look out onto the beach, so parents can watch their children play on the sand whilst they enjoy a relaxing drink.

We offer villas in the peaceful and very attractive Quinta dos Alamos community, just a stroll from the centre of Guia. In Vale da Parra, we are expanding our range of villas within easy reach of the restaurants and facilities.

Albufeira Villa Holidays - History

Thanks to tourism, the 'once-upon-a-time' fishing village of Albufeira has expanded into a series of major holiday resorts. There's a huge choice of bars, restaurants and clubs which start to fill up with people in the evening. Most people enjoy a stroll through the maze of streets by the Fisherman's beach, where boutiques, street vendors, bars and restaurants vie for your attention. A trip into Albufeira wouldn't be complete without dining at one of the restaurants perched high above the beach where you can dine on excellent fish with dramatic sea views.

Albufeira - Sightseeing

A new, attractive marina has been completed on the west side of Albufeira town with some "interesting" architecture, shops, bars and restaurants.

At Ponte Grande there are impressive caverns with large arches and the underwater caverns of Grutas do Xorino.

Albufeira - Sport & Leisure

Within a few kilometres from our villas in Guia and Vale da Parra is the Algarve Shopping Mall with a huge choice of stores, a food court and multi-screen cinema where movies are shown in their original language - mostly English. Across the main road there's a branch of Makro, take your card if you are a member for access to the superstore.

Zoomarine Aquatic Park is a theme park with rides and various attractions with an aquatic theme. There's ben quite a lot of investment recently which is raising standards enormously and it's becoming very popular with families. There is also a dolphin interaction programme where you can swim with the dolphins - this needs to be pre-booked.

Albufeira - Golf

Balaia 9 hole golf course carries the title of 'Executive Course' which in its name implies the quality of its layout and subtle challenges. Pine Cliffs is a well maintained golf course of 9 holes located on the cliff top near Albufeira and managed by the adjoining Hotel. Salgados course is set on the flat lands behind the sandy beach of Praia de Gale and the closest course for our villas. It is technically difficult due to the prevailing winds.

Albufeira - Beaches

Like the rest of the Algarve coastline, the Albufeira area is blessed with some beautiful beaches. Fine golden sand with low cliffs and lots of natural rock sculptures carved by the sea over millennia. Gale, Castelo and Coelho are some of the beaches in the area that are still very much unspoilt. There are welcome beachside restaurants, surprisingly high quality and contemporary places where you can certainly enjoy a more dressy dinner in the evenings with good parking close to the sands.
