Mollero is a really special villa, combining the character and traditions of Mallorcan design with a little French style. It’s the perfect place for a family holiday with beautiful gardens and spacious rooms or perhaps a luxurious holiday with friends. It’s in a beautiful part of the Pollensa countryside with views of the mountains across the Colonya Valley yet just a short drive from all the restaurants, cafes and boutiques of Pollensa Old Town and not far from the sheltered bay and beaches of Puerto Pollensa.
The villa is enclosed and very private with the gardens and pool at the rear. Inside, the house is spacious, light and airy with elegant and comfortable furniture.
Upper floor
Double bedroom and twin bedroom with air con and built-in robes, both have doors to a large terrace with fantastic views to the La Rafal mountains and the other double bedroom. Twin bedroom with air con, built-in robes, Juliet balcony and access into the family shower room with large walk-in shower.
Ground floor
Large master suite with queen-size bed and a corner bath with shower in the bedroom, concealed behind a frosted glass screen. Thankfully there’s a separate toilet plus air con and built-in robes.
The galley-style kitchen has lots of storage space in sleek white cabinets with marble work-surfaces, all the modern appliances, pantry with safe and a breakfast table. Guest toilet.
The graceful stone entrance hall opens out into the large, split level lounge and dining area with a long glass table through a wide stone archway. The living space is a mix of modern and traditional design, with stone walls and beams, lots of comfortable seating, satellite TV, DVD and CD for entertainment and a wood-burning stove for the cooler evenings.
The gardens and outside space at Windmill Villa are particularly well-designed and very private. A long covered terrace runs along the back of the house, joining it to the garden with steps leading down to the swimming pool. The terrace and the garden have amazing views of the mountains across the Colonya Valley.
The garden is surrounded by tall olive trees and conifers casting ample shade on hot summer days. A stone sun-terrace runs around hugs three sides of the pool and there’s a shady lawn around the other side, sloping gently down towards the valley. There are great facilities for relaxing and eating outside with steps leading from the covered terrace down to a covered barbecue area, with a Mallorcan bread oven and a stone sink and lots of elegant garden furniture. The house is set down a private driveway with plenty of parking space and tall conifers screening the villa from view.
Private swimming pool, 10m x 5m, 1.1m to 2.2m deep with broad submerged steps for access.
Take care when jumping into the pool close to the steps in the shallow end!
