Secluded in a fold in the mountain and with only one "neighbouring" villa a few hundred metres away, Olive Grove Villa was recently converted from an old olive press into a fabulous holiday villa with a stunning infinity pool and dramatic views over the sea and down the coast to Corfu Town. Most of the accommodation is at ground level and in the huge living area it’s open to the rafters with an open mezzanine level providing spacious accommodation for extra guests (ideal for older children) with a double sofa bed and room for folding bed. From your secluded hideaway it’s just over a kilometre down the winding road to the pretty pebble beach and the collection of tavernas beside the crystal-clear water in Nissaki and once you get used to the curves you’ll navigate the road in a few minutes, just like the locals. There’s also a pretty harbour in Nissaki from where you can rent a small boat to explore this wonderful coastline from the sea, find hidden beaches and stop off at waterside tavernas for lunch or just a welcome drink.
Nissaki is well located for exploring the North East Coast either by car or by boat, with Corfu Town also within easy reach once you gain some confidence on the winding roads. If the children fancy a bit of fun, the waterside park on the north coast of the island is a little more low key than others you might have visited and seems to encourage them to really enjoy themselves.
The bedrooms are all in the left wing of the villa, here you can choose from two double bedrooms each with beautiful en suite bathroom and doors to the pool or rear terrace and two twin bedrooms each with stylish en suite shower room and doors to the pool or rear terrace. The open-plan living area certainly delivers plenty of drama, half the space is open to the rafters with a gallery extending around the room from the half floor above the kitchen and dining area, there’s also a grand piano and a huge 50” TV so you can decide who provides the entertainment. The farmhouse-style kitchen is equally impressive with every labour saving kitchen gadget known to man, a large range cooker and with a wood fired pizza oven you can make the most of local produce. To the rear of the kitchen is a utility room and a guest toilet that serves guests staying on the double sofa bed on the half floor above.
Doors from the living space open to a partially-shaded terrace beside the stunning infinity pool complete with a relaxing spa and for lunch, you can all gather beneath the stone-built pergola for a barbecue in the welcome shade whilst you marvel at the incredible views.
No expense has been spared to convert the olive press into the impressive villa you can enjoy today, craftsmen have used local stone to rebuild and extend to provide you with a perfect holiday experience. From the electric entrance gates to the shaded parking area, to the al fresco dining pergola and double height living room to the welcoming pool and amazing views.
