Our Le Marche villas are situated in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. We love this region because it has a marvellous combination of seaside and a relatively undiscovered hinterland, which is every bit as pretty and dramatic as many of the more well known regions of Italy.

Those in the know have taken villa holidays in Le Marche more and more in recent years, in search of tranquillity, beautiful scenery and pretty, timeless villages. Don't be put off by the proximity of Rimini, a busy seaside resort, as once you step inland about 10 miles from the coast it is so beautiful you'll feel as if you're in another country. However, being near to Rimini is handy for access to the airport.

The medieval towns of Urbino and Ascoli Piceno are the highlights of Le Marche - atop the rolling hills there are numerous hilltop villages waiting to be explored. The dramatic fortified village of San Lao is an outstanding example, indeed Macchiavelli considered it one of the finest pieces of military architecture in Italy. Along the coast there are many beautiful areas such as the rocky reefs near Portonovo on the Conero peninsula.
