Holiday villas Umbria Italy - Overview:
Just like Tuscany (Umbria's better know neighbour) Umbria is a delightful area of central Italy and whilst it may not have Tuscany's Mediterranean coastline, it boasts spectacular country scenery, more wonderful food and wine and its own treasure box of medieval and renaissance architecture, sights and must see attractions.
Our holiday villas in Umbria are set amidst beautiful Italian countryside, most within easy reach of the city of Perugia and Assisi; some are also close to the magnificent Lake Trasimeno, which has beautiful beach side villages and some excellent dining spots, many restaurants specialising in sea food and fresh water fish straight from the lake.

Holiday villas Umbria Italy - Sightseeing:
The magnificent sights of the basilica di San Francesco in Assisi, the spectacular old town of Perugia and the glimmering Duomo of Orvieto are the highlights of Umbria - an area blessed with many architectural treasures. However, unlike Tuscany, Umbria has less celebrated and therefore less busy centres, such as stunning Gubbio, Montefalco and Todi perched on its impregnable rocky outcrop. Here you can visit Umbria's romanesque churches, civic palaces, wonder at vivid frescos and explore a myriad medieval nooks and crannies to your heart's delight.
If you prefer to take in natural sights when on a villa holiday in Umbria, there are the impressive waterfalls at Marmore, or you can visit Campello sul Clitunno for its peaceful natural springs amidst the fortified hill towns. Everywhere in between you'll enjoy tranquil countryside, perhaps even a spot of golf at Perugia before a memorable Umbrian lunch.
