Delays are a fact of life and the great thing with booking one of the French hotels through the Villa Company, is that the room is held for you whatever time you arrive and they all serve meals until relatively late, usually 10pm. If you're going to arrive late, we advise you call the hotel before 11pm; the night porter will then show you to your room when you eventually arrive, or you may need to enter a code number (printed on you voucher) into a keypad beside the entrance to the hotel. It's only when you find yourself running late, and with the prospect of spending a night in the car after a day on the road, that you really appreciate these details.

Supplements (paid locally) are payable at some of the more popular hotels which will be advised at the time of booking. The best appointed hotels book up relatively early so you are strongly advised to make your French hotel booking at the same time as you reserve your holiday villa or resort hotel and other travel arrangements. A little early planning can save you driving unnecessary extra miles.
