There are regular cross channel services from a range of Ferry operators in the UK. The most frequent operate from Dover to Calais but, depending on the location of your villa in France, sometimes it's easier to take a ferry from Portsmouth, Plymouth or Weymouth to one of the French ferry ports in Brittany on the French west coast.
