Corsica
In Corsica, one finds that villas with private pools at reasonable prices are hard to come by, so at the Holiday Villa Company we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to offer you a Corsica island holiday in one of our fabulous privately owned villas, all in beautiful locations. We have come to love Corsica as have many of our clients who repeatedly book a holiday on this unique island. The Holiday Villa Company has developed an enviable relationship with the local Corsica villa owners, as we firmly believe that renting accommodation directly from Corsican residents is good for the Corsican people and the island's future.
So, if you're looking for Corsica villas, then we have a fine, hand picked selection of villas with pools, in the best locations on Corsica's eastern coast, in south west Corsica, in Porto Vecchio and in northern Corsica & the Balagne. Gorgeous villas with private pools, apartments and boutique hotels - properties that meet our high standards and offer our guests a certain 'something special'.

Holiday villas in Corsica - our philosophy
Unlike most of the small number of tour operators to feature the island, we have deliberately 'unpackaged' our villa holidays in Corsica. This enables you to find your holiday in Corsica at the best possible price - without being bound to a package including flights or car hire - that way you can see exactly how much each aspect of your holiday costs.
Corsica holiday villa rental - Island overview:
'Stunning, wonderful, so unspoiled,
yet so sophisticated, so near,
why on earth didn't we go before?
Of course we will be going again'.
This is the typical reaction of many first time visitors to Corsica. Known as the 'Ile de Beaute' Corsica is an exceptional Mediterranean island, still untouched by mass tourism. The reason for that is simple: accommodation and flights to Corsica are in fairly short supply. As a result the island has maintained its unspoiled appeal, offering Corsica beaches that wouldn't look out of place in the Indian ocean; historic sea ports; dramatic cliffs; mountain scenery and so much more - all waiting to be discovered. Amazingly, the precious hidden treasure that is Corsica is just a couple of hours' flight from the UK.
Surrounded by crystal clear Mediterranean waters, Corsica beaches boast outstanding beauty, the island has a dramatic coastline of fascinating rock formations brimming with wildlife, palm trees and cacti. Inland, Corsica is carpeted in a lush green foliage known as the fragrant 'maquis' - awash with aromatic herbs and wild flowers leading up to dense pine and chestnut woods and dramatic rocky mountains, peaking at 'Mount Cinto' 2706m.

Corsica Holiday Villas - Corsica weather
Boasting more sunshine and drier weather than anywhere else in France, the Corsican climate is very pleasant indeed. Any rainfall is generally in the mountains and it nourishes the low land areas through its streams and rivers. Sea temperatures around Corsica range from 18 degrees C in mid-May, rising to beyond 25 degrees C in peak summer and only falling back again in November.
Holiday villas in Corsica - Food & Drink
The island of Corsica is renowned for its quality food, with the local cuisine enjoyable and varied. The fish is usually very fresh and plentiful and the locals proudly present it simply grilled or oven baked, allowing the true taste to be enjoyed. Red mullet, seabass, langoustines and scallops are frequently on Corsican menus, and the locally farmed mussels are large and juicy and should not be missed. Hill farms produce other delicious delicacies, full flavoured and certainly without preservatives! You don't need to ask for organic food in Corsica, they know nothing else! Aromatic honey, heavily peppered smoked hams and strong cheeses and, if you're lucky, strong garlic infused saucisson - ideal for a lunch time feast! The local wines can be robust but increasingly the Corsican vineyards are producing some very enjoyable wines.
